    Testimonials

    • I never fail to be impressed and humbled by the exceptionally good manners of your pupils. They are, without fail, neatly dressed and clearly proud of their uniform.  They greet me with polite and courteous manners and are always well behaved.  I feel compelled to write to you to offer my admiration and sincere congratulations to you and your staff for achieving such a high standard, more so in a Province, where some of the most prestigious schools are to be found. Howick High can justly take it’s place beside them, and deservedly so.”

Mr Peter Cook, Proud Howick Resident

    • “I would like to thank you and the Howick High School (Squash) team for providing us with a fixture yesterday.  My boys enjoyed the games and learnt a lot from your players. We felt welcome from when we arrived, with your friendly staff and students.”

Justin Randall, Educator: Weston Agricultural College

    • “Some months ago my wife and I visited South Africa and it came about that in our travels we found ourselves in Howick.  In the 1980’s our two sons, Charles and James, had attended Howick High. We decided to visit the school.

We arrived just as the lessons for the day finished and went through the main gate to be met by the pupils on their way to take part in the afternoon’s activities. Each and every pupil was tidily dressed and on passing us said “Good afternoon, Sir, Good afternoon Madam’. Not a few asked if they could help us.

The courtesy, consideration, and kindness shown by your pupils to two old strangers was a highlight of our visit to RSA. You and your staff deserve much credit for this situation. Thank you.

      Yours sincerely

      Hugh and Ann Rethman.”

    • To the Principal, staff and pupils,

This is a letter of congratulation.

I am a retired teacher living in [*an address near Howick High School]. I have only been in Howick for three months. In that time I have frequently encountered Howick High pupils going to and from school.

Every time I am greeted with a wave and a smiling “Hello” or “Good morning”. I can’t tell you how impressed I am by the polite and friendly manner the Howick High pupils display.

Well done to the staff and parents who obviously instill in these children the importance of good manners.

Thank you for making this old lady feel very welcome in your lovely town.
